The presentation brings together four artistic positions that engage, in distinct ways, with questions of figuration, material, and perception. At its core is the work of Doris Ziegler, a central figure of East German painting, whose practice reflects on the relationship between body, history, and representation. Her paintings, developed over several decades, maintain a strong sense of presence, where personal and collective dimensions intersect without resolution.

Céline Struger’s sculptural work introduces a spatial and material dimension to the presentation. Her practice explores processes of transformation, often working with fluid or shifting forms that challenge fixed definitions of sculpture. The works engage the viewer physically, unfolding in space rather than presenting themselves as closed objects.

Chloé Saï Breil-Dupont approaches painting through a precise and controlled visual language. Her compositions focus on surface, structure, and the dynamics of perception. The images remain deliberately open, resisting direct interpretation while maintaining a strong visual coherence.

Lou Hoyer’s drawings operate within a more narrative register. Her works suggest scenes or situations that are at once familiar and elusive. References to theatrical and literary forms appear, yet the images avoid closure, leaving space for ambiguity and projection.

Together, these positions form a constellation of practices that address the instability of images and the conditions of their perception. Across different media, the works articulate a field of tension that remains understated, yet persistent.
