Originally established as She BAM! in 2021 by Laetitia Gorsy, the gallery was founded with a clear mission: to address structural inequalities in the art market. By exclusively collaborating with female artists, the gallery aimed to amplify their voices and highlight the social and economic disparities, including the gender pay gap. This principle remains at the heart of the gallery’s identity, even as it has evolved under its new name, Galerie Laetitia Gorsy, to reach a broader and more diverse audience. 

Based in Leipzig, Germany, the gallery is committed to showcasing and promoting contemporary art in its many forms. Its program spans painting, drawing, sculpture, video, ceramics, photography, and mixed-media installations, often exploring themes of nature, the environment, socio-political issues, cultural diversity, and formal artistic approaches. The exhibitions reflect the distinct perspectives of the represented artists, whose works range from geometric abstraction to vibrant landscapes addressing the intersection of humanity and the environment. Their multi-disciplinary practices incorporate classical techniques, ceramics, photography, and historical references, creating dynamic dialogues between contemporary and traditional approaches.
